Music and Imagery Remix

For my first mashup assignment, I did “Music and Imagery” with the remix generator. The original assignment was to mashup photos from your favorite movie with the sheet music from my favorite song in the movie. I instantly thought of the movie A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. One of the most iconic songs in the movie is “Shallow,” which is the song that I blended with an image of the two who sing it in the movie. The remix generator directed me to “make the assignment pinker somehow, either literally or metaphorically.” After I created the original edit using the “CutPastePhoto” software, I uploaded it onto a photo editing app called “VSCO,” clicked the “Split Tone” icon at the bottom of the page, and turned up the saturation of pink on the highlight and shadow tints.
